We are HOME!!!

It’s hardly believable but after all these years of waiting and waiting and waiting, we finally have our little girl home from Uganda! It has been a long hard road that my family and I have had to travel to come into this promise, but with every twist and turn, every obstacle to overcome, we have seen God’s sovereignty lead us, teach us, and grow us in ways that would have never been had the road been quick and easy.

There are moments that I just can’t help but wonder how it is that I get to be this little one’s momma. This little girl whose eyes dance and sparkle with each joyful smile and giggle. This sweet girl who quite literally exuded the joy of the Lord. She is ours, forever ours to love and raise up in the Lord as our own.

I have once again witnessed the goodness of our God, and I can say with absolute certainty that God is faithful. He is good. And He alone has done this. He has set our little Joy into our family, and we are so very thankful. To Him and to you for all your encouragement and prayer.

I’ll be writing more of our adventures soon, but for now, I’d like to share just a few of the pictures we took while on the last leg of this journey in Uganda.

Blessings to you!

“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to Him.” – 1 Samuel 1:27

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!” – 1 Chronicles 16:34

“…so shall My word be that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” – Isaiah 55:11

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23

I know the road has been long and tough but I’m sure your journey has been worth it all! Congratulations!

    • It has most certainly been worth it!!! More than I can say, though I must also confess that the road to bringing Joy home was one of the most difficult seasons of my life. The enemy certainly steps up his game when we’re doing the will of God! But we are blessed beyond measure and so very thankful!!! I’ll be writing more soon…

Thank you for all your prayers and support, Mark!
