An Announcement and Some News

Life has been busy. But good!

I’m just about finished with my manuscript for my book, which is amazing. I’m in the home stretch, but time is getting tight, and so I’m going to have to go dark here on the blog for the next two-three weeks to finish. But I’ll be back with all new posts in early June. I think I have one more post on the topic of anxiety and depression when I return before I move on to write posts similar to what I had written before.

But before I sign off, I just have to share some exciting news. About a month ago, I was contacted by Billy Graham’s producer of film who asked me to be in one of their “My Hope with Billy Graham” films! The filming crew was here last weekend to shoot the film, and let me tell you, it was an experience of a lifetime. I just loved the group that was here, and quite honestly, when they left, my husband Travis and I looked at one another and said, “It isn’t often you make friends with people like this in two days!” Truly, I hated to see them go! But of course, they had to. They’re off cutting and editing all that film to tell a snippet of my story. What an honor to be part of something like this! The film will be released to the public sometime around November of this year, and I just can’t wait to see how they put it all together.

And so, that’s my news. Life is a bit crazy around here right now, but it is good. And I am thankful to be living the life God has given me. Oh boy, what an amazing God we serve!!

I’ll be missing the blog and all of you while I’m gone, but I’ll be back full of excitement and vigor in a few weeks!!

Hugs!

Laurie

That is super spectacular!  Oh the doldrums of the fine tooth edit!  Travis finished his also and we are in the same process.  We’re not in the company of film-makers, though!  Congratulations, Laurie!  You’ve worked diligently through this process in the midst of a demanding life schedule.  Proud of you!

  2. Thank you, Mark!! Three more chapters to go! I hope you are well…

    Laurie,
That is awesome to hear about you being in that film.  I look forward to seeing that.  Great as well on being so near to finishing your manuscript.  I wish you well on that.  Take care.
